This book sets out to provide state-of-the-art coverage of both dispersion hardened alloys and fibre reinforced alloys with particular attention to the principal mechanisms, processing and applications. Chapter 15 consists of thirty-one pages devoted to dispersion strengthened platinum and platinum alloys, and is a slightly condensed version of papers that have previously appeared in Platinum Metals Review . In conjunction with the information given in the other chapters, this will serve as a worthwhile reference for materials scientists and engineers.
