oa Exploration of Single Atom Alloy Catalysis for Industrial Applications

In this work, we review the latest progress in single atom alloy (SAA) catalysis and its applications to thermal, photo- and electro-catalysis in processes. We also discuss SAA catalyst preparation methods as well as characterisation techniques and provide perspectives on scalability and potential manufacturing routes. Lastly, we provide perspectives on challenges and opportunities in SAAs, when moving towards industrial exploitation and realising the benefits offered by SAAs beyond laboratory-based research.
